i dug in my old files last week and found an 8 bar loop. loved the vibe, dusted it off and turned it into a song. found a sample i had found by fat joe (the context was 69 being arrested) and made it the theme of the track.

time...coupled with the tibetan chanting i wanted it as a reminder of how quick life was, how it was sacred and a ceremony, how we need to wake up and how our time is robbed by this fucked up economic system, how they take that from you.

over 2 days i arranged and finished the track. i found out yesterday that a good friend had taken his life during this week, these words ringing through my ears now.

time.

it's fleeting.

it's short.

enjoy it and hold close those you love, we're just here for a blink of an eye
